Foreign Currency is a diptych focussed on the consideration of necessity. The isolation of a remote location highlights historical significance of a resource as simple as timber, whilst questioning the antithesis of ongoing development of the new; the progression of which seems to change our understanding of necessity. Whilst the importance of new technology seems to fluctuate, the necessity of heat is, and has always been, a constant.
